Award winning workforce

Sheffield Forgemasters' latest tranche of highly skilled award winning apprentices have now graduated as full time employees.
The company is building an expert workforce through its outstanding apprenticeship scheme.
Three of this year's graduates from the engineering giants also finished second, third and fourth in the the 2006 Metals Industry Apprentice of the Year (MIAY).
Their success comes on the back of last year's first place win at the awards for James Ayabina, a metallurgist at Sheffield Forgemasters International Ltd (SFIL).
Electrician Shaun Rochester took the 2005/6 EEF Young Engineer of the Year Award and finished third for the 2006 MIAY.
SFIL apprentices study a range of disciplines including electrical engineering, metallurgy, lab-work, machining, engineering maintenance, mechanical engineering, metals processing, and fabrication and welding.
This year's SFIL graduates are Rob Woodhouse, Shaun Rochester, Michael Umpleby, James Ayabina, Jonathan Hoare, Stuart Lancaster, Ben Hargreaves, Wesley Mundy, Chris Wenham, John Parkin, Jonathon Bright, Stuart Fletcher, Ryan Laybourne and Richard Dixon.
