Sheffield Forgemasters hosted its annual internal Health & Safety Conference, which brought together employees to focus on the day's main focuses - Wellbeing & Mental Resilience.

The morning session saw Chris Burton from Cube Learning & Development and the former Leeds Rhinos, England and Great Britain captain, Jamie Peacock MBE focus on wellbeing, teamwork and leadership.

Following the two opening sessions, the 250 attendees at OEC Sheffield were treated to presentations from a selection of our operational leaders.

In the afternoon, former UK Special Forces member and current SAS Australia Instructor Ollie Ollerton spoke to the audience about the importance of teamwork and resilience.

Finally, the event recognised several individuals from across the company, and contractors, for their work on improving Health and Safety across our business.

The 2024 Stand Out Awards winners were confirmed as Andy Gatley & Robbie Williamson, who administered life-saving CPR to a colleague at work and Don Valley Steel Fabricators were awarded the Contractor Award for Partnering for Safety, which earned the business a £500 donation to a charity of their choice.
