Vulcan draws upon a wealth of experience in supplying deck lifting points to offshore platforms.
Once the weight of a deck increases beyond approximately 5,000 tonnes, cast lift points become the standard form of lifting attachment. Various types of lift points can be used, including proud pad-ears, inset pad-ears and inset sheaves. The inset types offer the advantage of leaving a flush deck surface and do not take up any deck space or require removal.
Typical weights of decks range from 6,000 to 10,000 tonnes.
Additionally, Vulcan designs and supplies spreader bar ends, stab-in nodes, complex footing nodes and flare boom nodes.
