Vulcan SFM is a design , manufacturing and project management specialist which incorporates the former OSCAL brand. The company has particular expertise in providing steel castings and steel forgings for use in offshore structures. Vulcan’s expertise has also been applied to buildings and bridges, and is relevant to all heavy steel manufacture requiring design or contract management.
 
Vulcan is the worlds leading supplier of large, safety-critical steel castings to the offshore industry. For more than 20 years, Sheffield Forgemasters International Ltd (SFIL) has designed and manufactured steel castings which have been tried and tested around the world, supplying over 50,000 tonnes of cast steel components for use in jackets , decks , semi-submersibles , sub-sea pipelines and various mooring systems .
 
Vulcan SFM is able to utilise the full technical expertise and manufacturing capabilities within the SFIL group, but can also subcontract work in order to provide an engineering service best suited to meet clients’ requirements.
