Vulcan SFM has a dedicated engineering team providing design, manufacturing and project management services. This highly qualified team has been specifically set up to work hand in hand with clients' engineers in developing and delivering bespoke engineered solutions.
 
The team's specialist field is in designing for manufacture and in particular using expertise to convert safety critical and heavily stressed fabricated components into an optimal design of cast component, using Finite Element Analysis to ensure acceptable stress levels under all required load states.
 
Vulcan's design capabilities include 2D drafting, 3D solid modelling and Finite Element Analysis, detailed hand calculations, loading analysis and fatigue assessments. The team also produces detailed reports for clients and for third party approval.
