Forged bar

Sheffield Forgemasters produces forged bars on its 2,500 tonne and 10,000 tonne open die forging presses in low and medium alloy steels.

Forged bars are available in cast lots or from ex-stock ingots in the following grades:

  • AISI 4130
  • AISI 4140
  • ASTM A182 F22
  • AISI 8630 Modified
  • 817M40

Bars can be produced in size ranges from 250mm to 1000mm diameter.

All forged bar is supplied with sawn ends, standard UT (6mm FBH).
