Open day extended to key suppliers

Sheffield Forgemasters’ open day for employees' friends and family was extended this year to welcome key suppliers to Brightside Lane.
Chief executive Graham Honeyman followed up the succesful 2009 family open day with a second session, which began with a presentation to suppliers from all sectors, before key suppliers were taken on a tour of the site.
Family, friends and suppliers were shown the full production facilities at Forgemasters over the two days, including the pattern shop, foundry, forge, south machine shop and melt shop.
Among key suppliers attending was MarkHewett, dicional director with European Metal Recycling Ltd. He said: "We have supported Sheffield Forgemasters over many years and have a good, honest relationship. We work well with the excellent management team at the only UK-owned forgemaster."
