Pressure vessels
Sheffield Forgemasters Engineering Ltd has been manufacturing autoclave reaction vessels for the production of low density polyethylene (LDPE) since its earliest development.
As the size of the units has increased, the range of pressure vessel manufacture has been broadened to include HIP and CIP processes including those for crystal growing.
The company's integrated facilities allow pressure vessel designers to oversee the manufacture, assembly and hydraulic testing on the premises prior to site delivery.
Hydraulic testing can be carried out up to 100 kpsi and ensures that the vessels are in the best condition for prolonged safe operation.
Another service offered is the refurbishment and reconditioning of used vessels to agreed specifications, which allows for extended safe service.
