Power generation
The engineering division produces components for various power generation industries including fossil fuelled, nuclear and hydro plants.
Products include large and complex cast pieces such as crowns, bands, blades and stay rings for hydro plant, casings and valves for fossil fuelled power stations and pumps for nuclear applications.
It has a notable heritage in the manufacture of forged rotor components for steam turbine and steam generator units. We manufacture HP/IP, LP and generator shafts for all but the largest nuclear generating units.
For hydro applications, it is able to supply finish machined rotor shafts for turbines and generators direct to site, based on an extensive range of in-house CNC machining.
